Antivirus software is not enough any more, and has not been enough for some time. I use a combination of AVG, Ad-Aware SE, Spy Bot Search and Destroy, Spyware Doctor and Rootkit Revealer. Amazing the things you will find after a full scan of all of these. Nothing by itself will do. Each of these products finds things the others do not."
